The latest member of Oundle Business Association are Averil Philips independent funeral directors who have opened ther doors on St Oysth’s Lane.
Let me introduce myself, my name is Wendy Hughes, I am a funeral director with 31 years’ experience. I started as a 15 year old as part of a work experience scheme and have never looked back. I have worked for 4 family businesses including Averil Philips and my role covers all aspects of the job. I have worked across the West and East Midlands and enjoyed a 2 year spell in Australia.
My company Averil Philips is an independent family run business that has operated from Kettering and Corby. We are sensitive to all faiths and communities and operate in a professional and compassionate manner and are here for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide assistance and support.
The Angel public house which closed in 2016 has now been repurposed as a funeral home. The premises have been decorated to a boutique style to offer comfortable offices, a chapel of rest and a service room. We would be delighted to give you a tour of the facilities should you be passing, and maybe when circumstances permit host a future meeting.
